Description
In the first days of October, the sun has barely risen by 6:40 a.m., but its rays illuminate the western sky’s clouds casting a pinkish hue on them. I was driving north of Iola, Wisconsin, on Highway 49 enroute to the Dells of the Eau Claire River near Wausau but had to stop to capture this image. Fall did its part across a farm field with two trees displaying their colors and soft white veils of fog weaving throughout the woodland behind. There’s magic in mornings – especially in the fall when the temperature, dew point, and humidity create ground fog.
