Description
On a misty October morning, I found myself navigating the backroads of Iola, Wisconsin. The air carried the crisp scent of autumn, and the landscape unfolded a picturesque scene. There, standing proudly behind a cluster of red Sumac leaves, was a weathered farmer's shed. A single-story sanctuary for tools, equipment, and memories of a bygone era. As my lens captured the rustic charm, I couldn't help but reflect on the slow decay of these agrarian structures, silent witnesses to vanishing farms in this state and the fading necessity sheds on lands no longer breeding animals or tilling the soil. Most often now these buildings house rusting equipment and tools and perhaps an old car or truck – testaments to a bygone era.
