A gentle fog draped the landscape, turning ordinary scenes into mysteries. As I meandered near Scandinavia, a farm shed emerged from the mist, revealing its weathered wooden facade against a tapestry of vibrant fall foliage. The shed stood as a testament to the passage of time. Intrigued, I halted my car, feeling compelled to capture this hidden gem. With a telephoto lens, I framed the scene, emphasizing the juxtaposition of rustic decay and autumnal splendor. In that moment, the convergence of man-made and natural elements spoke volumes, echoing the profound beauty that lies in the simplicity of rural landscapes.
After dedicating five decades to print publishing and photojournalism, primarily in newspapers, I've embarked on a captivating journey to capture the vibrancy of Wisconsin's nature and the enchanting beauty of its woodlands and prairies through the lens of fine art photography and paintography.
