One crisp October morning, I found myself on the backroads near Iola, drawn by the timeless rivalry between Farmall and John Deere working in the fields. As the golden leaves whispered tales of changing seasons, a vintage Farmall stood sentinel beside an autumn-draped tree line. This lone tractor spoke of a bygone era when small farms were tilled with passion. Its aged but resilient frame told stories of countless autumn rituals — preparing the soil for winter's embrace. Amidst the backdrop of fiery foliage, the Farmall embraced its role in the dance of time, a testament to the enduring beauty of farmland in autumn. There isn’t a better competition in rural Wisconsin than that of Farmall versus John Deere, ask any farmer. It’s not only in the field, but at thresherees and tractor pulls across the state.
After dedicating five decades to print publishing and photojournalism, primarily in newspapers, I've embarked on a captivating journey to capture the vibrancy of Wisconsin's nature and the enchanting beauty of its woodlands and prairies through the lens of fine art photography and paintography.
