The greyish blue with dark blue rings and an outer white edge of this Turkey-tail or Trametes versicolor mushroom stand out on woodland tree limbs and trunks decaying on the forest floor. Trametes means "flesh" or "fabric" and refers to the connective tissue of the cap projecting into the walls of the fungus tubes.
