In the heart of Waupaca, Wisconsin, I sought out the hidden gem that is the 3D Alley. The brisk air crackled with creativity as I wove through the vibrant and whimsical pieces of art that adorned the walls. My camera lens was drawn to #7, a masterpiece by Dort De Wild, a retired teacher turned artist. The focal point was a waste container, unassumingly labeled "TRASH ONLY." The juxtaposition of this utilitarian object against the backdrop of abstract brilliance intrigued me. I captured the essence of space utilization by the business, emphasizing the coexistence of art and functionality. Dort De Wild's creation spoke volumes — a dance of colors and shapes that defied the ordinary. As a tribute to her vision, I embarked on the challenge of translating this visual brilliance into my own abstraction. My camera wove a narrative that paid homage to the intersection of art and practicality. Behind the New 2 You business, I found myself immersed in creativity, frozen in the dance of shadows and hues. De Wild's legacy stands tall in the 3D Alley, a testament to the thriving arts community of Waupaca.
